    ... for Salzburg was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Salzburg is a beautiful city, & the home of The Sound of Music, and also the birthplace of Mozart. After the official tour we wandered the streets and alleys, for several hours, then headed back to the station where we saw a group of Syrian refugees, including a mother and baby, in police custody - very confronting.

    ... do have a small medieval area of town and a town square. They have a museum of modern art (not my thing) that has a nice, big glass building.

    We had a late brunch on the ship and then headed to Salzburg by bus. On the way up we made a stop in Mondsee, which is a town on a lake.     ... The bells were ringing calling the parishioners to church. We then turned around, cycled passed the boat and boarded the first little ferry to cross the river and join Rad 1, the cycle path along the Danube.
