... shopping completed we sat down to probably not my fav meal. Ryan ordered meat loaf which in Canada is spiced ground beef shaped into a loaf here it was a giant piece of ham shape into a loaf. I ordered white sausage and sauerkraut. I thought it would be good but six white sausages atop a mound of sauerkraut accompanied by a bowl of mustard was just a little too much sausage for me. Woke up today, not feeling the best, due to the incredibly pathetic pillow, leading to poor sleep.


We did a walking tour of Salzburg, before having much free time to wander the town. It was beautiful, very much dedicated to Mozart. We saw a few Sound of Music sights, including the stairs and the pond they run around. The Salzburg markets were on and very traditional. All in all very pleasant ...

... a Moazart coffee, we went into the Salzburg Museum. There was all or dedicated to WW1, it was so interesting to thank see pictures, read letters etc of the other side. Then we finally headed to the medieval 1000 year old Castle Hohen, the best preserved medieval castle in the world. It is built so high in the hill side that you need funicular on a 60 degree incline to get up the top (there are steps, but hat wasn't happening!).
