Got the train to Ulm today, its weird as I have had a funny facination with Ulm since Ian picked it on the map as we needed to go this way to get to Switzerland. I was determined that whatever we would have to stay here and here we are. Not much to tell you about it though its a funny little place. Not even sure what is here, did see a big gothic castle/cathedral and some shops. The hostel was a little bus ride and when ...
I really dont have much time, so I´ll just say today was mostly driving.
We stopped at Ulm, where Einstein was born, for a quick touristy picture of the monument where his house used to be, as well as tooons of pics of the beautiful Ul Müenster (or something like that ...

... Unfortunately this was not so. Mom was very happy about this and offered to stay in the square outside with Lincoln. I guess climbing 768 steps for a nice view isn't her thing. More her thing is the little booths in the market square outside the cathedral.
It was a long and tedious climb to the top of the 162m high spire. We finally reached a platform I was sure that was the end and stopped to walk around the diameter of the ...
... ignoring rules they don't like :) So, I feel like my health is in a bit of decline.
Marigan, Stefan and I enjoy the feel of extreme adrenaline and so we rode every roller coaster in the park, however it was the test-ride trip that nearly did me in. You jerk back and forth, supposably test-driving a small car....about 500 feet in the air! I screamed until I couldn't anymore. We also saw a 4-D Bob ...

We were planning on staying another day here and relaxing by the water, but with the bed taken down, we have decided to slowly move on.
We said good=bye to the Oma and Opa and all the family. I think it was a good place to stay after all.
We are doing the back roads towards Stuttgart. It is busy with cars and lots of bike on the bike paths. The road side parking lots are getting full with people coming out into the ...
The first stop was Schloss Turn u. Taxis, where a Duchess still lives; we were only allowed to drive through but not stop. Next we came to a monastery where approximately 8-10 monks still live. It's awfully huge for only that amount of residents. We then drove to Heidenheim, district capital ...
Giengen an der Brenz, Baden-Württemberg, Germany cinmarc... to wait to take us to Ulm. Well, we kept our end of the bargain, but RyanAir didn't, so that we didn't arrive in Frankurt until about midnight (at which point the boys were drunk) and I ended up driving the 4 hours to Ulm. Of course we were all staying with Sarah and Patrick so that we had to wake these two up at 4:00 in the morning - on their wedding day ...
Ulm, Germany koehlers... smug).
Now, on to Deutschland. We are headed to Neuschawnstein Castle, built by Mad King Ludwig. The only way to get up to the castle is to hike up the mountain. It is about a 1/2 hour hike, and I didn’t think it was that bad. (BevNote: Sue and I decided NOT to hike up. Instead, we walked around the lower grounds, then sat by the lake and chatted. It was very peaceful and we were glad we didn’t try to overdo.) Walt Disney supposedly used this castle ...
