... and were on an escorted tour. The most interesting car was a Ferrari F40. Basically its a race car that has been made street legal. It can do over 200mph easily. It had to be 3 feet wider than our car. I don't know how he got it down the narrow streets of the village.
The next morning we got packed and headed to Colmar. Today is Stacy's 67th birthday. Happy Birthday Stacy!
I was already glad to be home, when to my surprise, I had received mail!!! It was a lovely postcard from my bestie from her trip to Ireland :-) Made my day!

It is a very steep 35 minute hike followed by a climb up a modern lookout tower(267 steps and 15 more to the crow's nest). The view from the tower was breathtaking and a little frightening. ...
Tuesday and Wednesday we spent in this town, high in the Black Forest. We hiked a bit up to the waterfalls, then went through every store looking for cuckoo clocks. Didn't find any that I liked that didn't cost over 1000 euros. But it was fun and these are handcrafted here. It lovely up here. Roads are fantastic. And the speed limit on the two Lane roads we are using is 42 to 50 mph. And that is ok with all the swerves in the road. Photos to follow. Hope this finds you all ...
