We all slowly fell in love with Slovenia, camping in the pine trees, swimming in the lake and chilling amongst the mountains. The campsite was full of Dutch teenagers making the most of the activities on offer on the raging river running past the campsite. A great couple of nights enjoying the surroundings, even with some traditional Slovenian music thrown in as we ate dinner on the last ...

... on to Slovenia pretty quickly. And it was a great decision as we snaked our way through the mountains, the van coping admirably, with a new stunning vista around each corner. We headed to Bled and a campsite on the lake, but an avalanche of tourists for the Bled festival meant that it was completely full. In fact apart from the stunning location, the campsite didn't seem our bag anyway, so we went and found camping Sobec which was perfect, and it was time to chill and catch up on some ...

... wouldn't be a problem. I was shocked when my request was denied, but we really had no recourse, so I left in June. Dieter stayed on in our sweet apartment, and his family is coming to visit for vacation in August, then he'll join me in Mexico in September.

I was pretty upset over this turn of events, but decided to make use of my time in the US - stayed with my sister in ...

... our hike that we were on the steep, challenging climb up. This wouldn't have been too bad, except for the fact that Erenna and I were in flip flops and the path was really muddy and slippery. We all made it up pretty far when we reached a fork in the path and couldn't figure out which way to go. Ren and I decided to start heading back down, knowing it would take me a long time in my unfit footwear and Jason continued up. It was a slippery steep slope back ...
