We drove from Vienna south to Graz, which was a lovely little city. We parked Fred along the river and walked into town. The main old square was having a chocolate festival! so there were a lot of people milling around with spoons in their hands. They bought the spoons and then could taste different kinds of chocolate from vendors…very tempting but we had things to see. We decided to take the glass lift through the hill to the top of Castle Hill ...

On the last evening in Belgrad, i was not sure if i will head to Ljubljana or back home on the next day. I wrote some CS-requests for Ljubljana, but i was not lucky.

... stationsplein naar de stad moesten komen. In Rdam heb je namelijk het NN-gebouw, in Graz staat een levensgrote berg met een klokkentoren midden in de stad. Handig om je aan te orienteren..

Ja, en wat zie je dan allemaal? Ten eerste veel kerken natuurlijk, allemaal van die sloveense dingen met koperen uien-koepeltjes bovenop ('Graz' is sloveens voor kasteel, volgens wiki..). Ow, en een berg. Die hebben we maar beklommen toen we nog fit waren, dan kan je ...

We arrived in Tomis flat some time ago, now cooking dinner and have some beers in 10-people-CS-community is planned..

Well, welcome everybody! This will be my blog about my hitchhiking trip down the balkan. I´ll leave on Monday, 6th of July, right after i received my Netbook. Wednesday 3rd June. We left early and drove through the mountains crossing high passes and ski fields dotted along the way. The villages had a definitely Swiss feel to them as it gets cold up here lots of woodpiles for fires and houses built of wood with steep rooves for the snow to fall off.
