... to finish work. This really wasn't too bad and we kept ourselves occupied whilst we waited for Mike and Ken. Back in Graz we said our final farewells to the guys and then grabbed a bit to eat before heading back to the hotel. It was at this point that we realised that we'd both burnt our faces in the most random ways possible, only Sophie's right side is bright red and I just look like Rudolf with a random patch of red where my fringe wasn't ...

Jerry hurt his left leg...so we decided early not to go to the race todayr this morning. So we decided not to go to the race and have him stay quiet and ice it all day. It just seemed stupid to try and go since it is so far away and if his leg got worse, we were stuck in a foreign country at a racetrack with thousands of people and no options. He is disappointed naturally but seems to be the best decision. So we ended up having the laziest day we have had in months!!! We went downstairs ...

Once back at the hotel we got ready for bed and I went to sleep dreaming of all the drivers, incredibly happy ...

... loved them in Australia but didn't make the connection it was in German! ) and then headed to our seats in Sud West. Very decent seats with a good view of the pits, start and much of the track. Absolutely gorgeous setting in the mountains. We watched practice and then the rain came and stayed on and off for a few hours. We got plastic tarps and just huddled under the umbrella and watched the various events. Finally when qualifying started at 2 it tapered ...

... this fascinating but I'm not sure Sophie shared my same enthusiasm! By late evening we were both getting pretty hungry so we went to the first restaurant we came across and had the best meal I think we have yet. Both of us had pork cutlet and it really was delicious. Back at the hotel I thought I'd best give Sophie a quick lesson on who's who in the F1 so she's not sat at the racing over the next couple of days like a complete and utter ...
