There are loads of great historical monuments and castles in Baden Wurttemberg, and they are stunning at all times of the year - mostly because they are balanced on hillsides and command stunning views of the surrounding forests and countryside - we visited a few of these as they weren't too far away from relatives here - always a good base to see places from whilst looking for work. ... Very uneven surface, difficult sleep ahead. Plan for tmrw is 5am start, get to Ulm and consider getting a cheap room and doin g errands before attackng the Danube the day after. See how i feel tmrw, legs will be stiff... What a day! Pretty much a 'classic' touring day, tough, but very rewarding and memorable.. PS - note from the next day, turns out that I actually crosssed the Swabian Alb, technically a low mountain range'... An accidental detour over a mountain range then!
