We had a great sleep last night in our little third floor pension which we found online. The bed was great as was this mornings European breakfast. After checking out, we walked through Haslach and took a few photos of this neat little Black Forest town.

Heading north, we passed through Lichtenau and of course had to stop at 7 Sommerfeld Strasse, our first home away from home (1975-78) The Murphy gang might remember that there was an Edeka grocery ...

... our ship is docked so we walked a bit and were in the shopping/pedestrian district and we just meandered around for a few hours. I bought some shoes I wanted to buy before we left so that was nice. We had a little misty rain but nothing too bad. I had my hair in waves so that made it an afro - oh well - no one seemed to notice!! We ended up at the cathedral. It is just so amazing. We didn't go inside but ...

Bonn, Germany, a city many have probably not heard of was actually the capitol of Germany from after the WW2 to about 1990 when the wall came down in Berlin and they once again made the Capitol Berlin. Many of the buildings used in Bonn for the Capitol are now used by the United Nations.
