Tires and Towers: Kranj and Ljubljana
... all of us participate. It was embarrassing when the old man made me dance with him and play a hat version of musical chairs but looking back it really wasnt that bad and totally a good time. The food was the best version of traditional food that we had the entire trip too so it was really a great experience!
After dinner we just went home, wrote our journals and got a lot of sleep for the next day (we knew it was going to be a long one)!! ...
Island in the middle of a Lake: Bled
... we went to Bled which was amazing. From the castle you could see the entire island and the lake surrounding it. Then from the ground the castle looked so beautiful. It was such a unique and beautiful place. We walked through the castle that is now a museum and see someone use a printing press. It was cool.

Summer Toboggan
Sadly our last day in Slovenia so we decided on a bit of 'adrenalin' for our last morning. After packing up we headed to the slopes and because it was a Saturday, the ski lifts were open! So a peaceful journey to the top watching some BMX dudes tearing up the bike track before making our way to the summer toboggan run.

Bovec rafting
... bright but kind of chalky blue, due to limestone rock. We also saw some tunnels dug in the mountains which were apparently used in the war. Sneaky.
Most of the way was relatively gentle, effortlessly drifting downstream enjoying the scenery and sunny day. But in places we had some pretty good rapids with rocks to avoid and big waves splashing over the front of our raft. I almost fell out a couple of times but did successfully keep ...
Mountain Hike
... get down would be to pretend I was a bike. So, with that I raced off tearing down the track running up the banks and jumping over the mounded jumps. Yeehaa! Then in a particularly good run I hit an exceptional patch of mud and became bambi. Everything was in slow motion as I slid for a good 2 metres flailing my arms before the inevitable happened and I landed face down in the thick slimey mud. If only we had filmed ...
