... and see the glow of fire and know that Dresden was burning." -Charles, 75, happy grandpa

Living in close proximity to such an active area during World War Two is an honorable circumstance by any means. Charles has lived in Teplice, Czech Republic for almost his whole life. This sort of quote definitely helps highlight the historical nature of any European trip. It is hard to avoid, and not be impressed by, the living accounts and remains of such historical ...

The bones are all human bones from 30000 people who died mostly in the plague and then later in the Hussite wars. It's not something everyone would like to see, but it was an interesting site. St Barbara's cathedral is beautiful inside and is huge, with ...

Took the train to Kutna Hora the other day, a town an hour east of Prague, in the Czech Republic. It was an awesome time. Prague is an affordable city, but once you leave and arrive in the small towns everything is even cheaper. I had a burger and pop for lunch for $2.90 Canadian and it was delicious. I visited the bone ossuary, a few Cathedrals and the Czech museum of silver - hradek. Surrounding the bone ossuary was ...
