Once again, timing meant that we had the campsite and beach frontage of beautiful clear blue waters almost to ourselves. We decided a day by the ocean was again required so stayed in Vieste the day after as well. We spent it doing all sorts of exciting things such ...

... hour delay to refill with gelato, visit an ATM and see a barber (more on that in another blog). We arrived in Manfedonia just as it was getting dark to a 4 room B&B over looking the harbor in the center of town. That evening the streets were decorated and packed with people to celebrate the festival of St Francis. They even broadcast mass on street speakers all over town. A great seafood dinner and fireworks finished the day. Pictures ...
