          ... Castle tour: There is a beautiful castle situated 200 meters from Sirmione bus-stop. Entry is 4 Euro per person. Time to take a tour may vary from 1-3 hours. View of the lake and the town from the top of the castle is mesmerizing.

          ... the huge theatre where the lighting & seating were being dismantled but Dick’s legs were complaining loudly so we retreated to the residencia at about 4pm.

          The locals eat dinner after 7.30 but we managed to find a place at 7 & had a good dinner before retiring at 9pm.

          ... internal debate, I decided to take a train. My logic was that I would arrive there sooner and get to see the town more, and also not hurt myself but pushing too hard. Between not having done a ton of riding the last couple months and all the additional weight on my bike, I knew I wasn't going to be able to get through another 120km day.

          Next we headed off to the nearby Lamberti Tower (everything is nearby given the small old town area) which is the tallest tower in the city.           We left our apartment in Lezzeno about 10:00am for our drive to Verona. The first hour required us to navigate the narrow winding roadway of Lake Como as well as the many cyclists out for a Sunday ride. Given we have no timetable, there was no need to hurry.
