Off to the airport to pick up Mark who has joined us for a few days so we get to see some more of the Island. We then head up to a historical town called Erice for lunch and the views were stunning. A Sunday night stroll through the city to show the sights to Mark was a real eye opener as all the SIcilians were out promenading so we just had to stop and have a Mojito and people ...

We wake up at 5am and dump Alison and Scott on the quay and make a quick get away as 50 miles to do before the windy front arrives, that Is due late afternoon. We make good time and turn the corner of the west coast as the winds pick up so glad to be in harbour by 3. Trapini was supposed to be a quiet fishing village known for its good fish restaurants but once again duff info. A busy port with lots of ferries ...

We never did find the two fresh fish ...

Lots of the shop keepers and restauranteurs knew us by the end and asked us what we had been up to that day. Very friendly and welcoming. I even managed to get the girl in the bakery to smile as she helped me order the bread one morning. But the rubbish. The rubbish! We added Sicily onto the end of our holiday because all the reports that ...

... some 'borrowed kid cars' left by the side of the road. We're still not sure whether we borrowed or stole them from the response of the owner when we returned them. They kids rode them down our steep drive, but needed help getting them back up the hill. Good to work off the croissants.

We also took an afternoon trip up to Erice. A hilltop town not far from Trapani. It was an interesting enough little village to walk around, quite touristy, but ...
