Once settled in, we set out for a tour of the town. Ravenna is well known for very old churches dating back to the 4th century. The churches are well known for the ornate and large scale mosaics. Phenomenal mosaic artwork in all sites we visited. We purchased passes which allowed us entry into most of the well known mosaic locations in Ravenna. ...
