(yep - off the shelf), palace, church and a huge race track where they do trials (we could hear them in the background). It was like a rabbit warren in a way, but going up instead of down.

We went for an early morning walk to see the sunrise the next day. It was magnificent!

So the time has come to move on again. Tomorrow we are getting the morning train to Venice, hopefully giving us the afternoon to look around and have some dinner before getting the night train to Budapest. It will be our first experience of a sleeper train and we have heard mixed reviews. Still, we are both excited and can't wait to get to Hungary... a step closer to Moscow!

... little Italian/English family has taken me in under their wing. They feed me (or we cook together) awesome organic meals, and along with the three to five (two just left) other Helpers, they give us a bed and a pilla, in exchange for about 5 hours of work around the farm, helping in the kitchen, or watching after the children.

Am nächsten Morgen - nach Frühstück - Aufbruch nach Assisi - ca. 15 min. Fahrzeit. Da d** Parkplatz am Fuss des B**ges liegt auf dem die Stadt liegt - kurzes "Schlucken" - ab** in 10 min. warn wir beim Dom - dann ar wied** alles ok !
Assisi - eine wirklich wund**schöne alte Stadt , in die ich demnächst sich** mal auf läng** zurückkommen w**de.

We got to Rimini later that night after Pompeii. It was another 6 hour drive so again we were exhausted. We checked into the hotel and it was perfect. Nicer than the last one we were at. We had booked in advance for the night and the rate was 30eros cheaper than the next night so we (I) thought we would just get there and tell them we wanted another night at the same price. Unfortunately they played me harder than I played them and said they had no availability ...

Ravenna was somewhere Matt had insisted we visit, so I included it as a day trip in our packed itinerary. Little did I realise this would be the highlight of our trip. Ravenna is possibly the only place on earth where you can visit 8 UN World Heritage sites in less than a day (although we unfortunately only managed 7, as one was closed for renovations).

... the start. It was every show, not just the odd one. They were truly amazing and probably the best we’ve had yet. I imagine the finale was what it must be like at a rock concert - they rushed down the front dancing and screaming...all for me of course...and the rush it gave was brilliant.

Tuesday 2nd June. We set off as the sun began to show through and leaving Mugello followed 5 massive trucks with the Moto Gp logo on them so they were off to the next racetrack site, like geeks we videoed this. We headed towards Tavulia and arrived at valentino Rossi's hometown md morning.The small town had 46 flags flying along the main road and we found the Rossi cafe where we had a coffee of which my cappuccino had 46 inscribed in the froth!!The cafe ...

Le cose più belle sono successe in questo viaggio. Ho conosciuto gente dal tutto il mondo e ho fatto amici veramente di cuore. Al corso italiano che andavo ho conosciuto l'amore della mia vita e la persona migliore per girare il mondo. Ho cominciato a viaggiare molto purtoppo finora solo in Europa ma con la intenzione di andare dappertutto.
Milano, la grigia città secondo molti, la città più brutta di Italia, per me era incredibile...
