After breakfast we headed into Firenze (florence). OMG, the traffic was nothing like I have ever seem. Kent is so good at the quick decisions needed. Sometimes we get to a place where you have to decide left or right? Quick, which way do we go - straightahead is not an option. Some places the street just empties into a huge plaza with no lines and streets exiting inall directions and cars heading wherever. There are lots of parking (big letter P) signs ...
Walking in Parma
... of water, but not enough to fill the river area. I particularly liked the view from the pedestrian bridge.
The second walk was in the early evening, from the center of town to my house. By this time, the sky was dark gray and it was raining lightly. It was not cold, only dark. A good first day of October--I suppose autumn has come!

A Couple of Noteworthy Meals From Last Week

The Secondi was large fried mushroom slices. Andrea (my host parents' son-in-law) had coated them with nothing but breadcrumbs and eggs. He brought them out in many small batches, so each piece we ate was hot and freshly fried.
