... it was very cold and wet and it has icicles in it, even in summer. As we manouevered inside the cave we came to a rather large roof cave in, which shortened the journey somewhat, and gave us pause for thought too! It was not a long trip but interesting.

We then went to see Lake Saiko and Lake Kawaguchiko, which are really beautiful, surrounded by mountains and lots of greenery.

Each match started with a song either singing the names of the sumos or blessing the stage, we weren't quite sure which. ... before dinner. The guy here had recommended a couple of local places to try. One sounded good but when we walked in the lady told us no more and she left?? So we went to the one right across the street. They had home cooking style meals and I chose the katsudon, pork rice bowl, which had become my favourite meal here.
