... to the main piazza (square). Here are all the main amenities - school, two shops, hairdresser, doctors etc. this is about the same distance above the main road as our apartment is below. From here we can see the castle across the valley of the stream which produces the waterfall (Orrido Di Nesso). We continue to climb up in the village. Some very steep and rough paths and the houses get older as we move up. Eventually we find a little bridge that ...

... this very narrow road, avoiding the parked cars and trucks. It took us a while with Michael out giving directions, but eventually we reached the bottom with no incidents. After that experience, we decided we would just go home. We headed back to the ferry terminal and there was a half hour wait. A small queue waiting and then the operator arrives in his BMW and parks across two cars and lets us in. He sells us our tickets and than jams everyone into the cars - definitely sardine class on this trip. Just enough room to stand and no more. We were lucky enough to have a delightful English lady in our car who, before we ever moved, announced she felt sick. When we ...

Roger is a mad cyclist and has arranged to hire a bike while here and go on a couple of rides through the mountains. Today we are taking him to a hotel just out of Bellagio where he will pick up his bike and meet today's riding partner - Fabio. We head off and all is fine. We can see where the hotel is located on our mini tourist map and the GPS map is showing us the roads. The GPS would not let us enter the details for the hotel ...
