... was very quick and we had Italian music being played by guitar and banjo next to our table all adding to the atmosphere. We then headed back to Positano, visiting the local deli for our breakfast requirements in the morning. We are getting picked up at 8am to catch our train from Salerno to Taormina which is in Sicily. We are very interested to see how we cross the ocean by train. We have heard a tunnel, train on ferry and bridge - watch this ...

As soon as we dropped our stuff off we went to the supermarket and got some beer, wine and cheese... Always a good time. We ended up spending 3 nights in Maiori and aside from our day trip to Capri, we did not do much. We slept in each day, relaxed, hung out at the beach, shopped a little, ate great food, drank some wine and enjoyed each others company. It was a great couple ...

... Pompeii.

Pompeii has been a childhood fascination of my wifes since her father showed her a book in his library that featured photos of the devastating destruction of Pompeii following the volcanic eruption of Mt Vesuvius in 79AD. She remembered the photos of bodies frozen in time as people died literally where they stood following the poisonous ash clouds that followed the eruption.

The original city of Pompeii covers ...
