The Camino trail is marked by yellow arrows and shell symbols which guide us along. So far we haven't made a wrong turn for which I am thankful. It's amazing what I have come to appreciate during the long hot days walking. The temperature has risen to above 30 degrees on most days. Small shady patches beneath a stone wall or magical wooded path, a cloud ...

As we approached the town of Mañeru we had quite a steep climb for about the last kilometre. In Mañeru we walked around the small town and then stopped at a wine cooperative, tasted some wine and bought a bottle. The wine label has the Camino shell symbol. It is a new albergue and it is super clean and fresh.. I wanted to double the pillow to lay down when I got there and they was a silverfish.. Not too pleasant. Ran into Leonardo from Italy on the path today. He reminds me so much of John Brown... I call him vecino peregrino. He has the warmth and kindness of ...

... the Camino. So it is gone and while I was initially upset by it, further thought made me realise that someone would find it, and maybe they need it more than I right now. And I can buy myself a new one when I get to Santiago and that will give me great memories for years to come as well. This afternoon we arrived in Pamploma and into the old walled/fortified city itself, to our Hotel Europa. Very nice it is too. Kim is on ...
