We got ourselves a late start today at 7:00. Who am I!? There was a free wine tap about 5 km away that opened at 8:00? Why not get two full bottles for tonight. Perfect timing! We cranked out 20 km by noon today and decided to keep going. It was the hottest day we both have ever experienced! The extra distance was four and a half miles in no shade. Nic could have collapsed! We powered through the heat without an abundance of water. We made it to an awesome albergue ...

The energy level that day was unlike anything we've ever felt in America. The sense of pride and tradition among the locals was so incredible and their joy and excitement was contagious. We spent the morning ...

Sunday, a group of us went to visit the Palacio Real de Olite (aka: Royal Palace of Olite). It was a little over an hour away from Logrono and we spent the day exploring the castle, having a great potluck picnic lunch, getting ice cream, and just spending time with friends. The castle was beautiful. This building was a reconstruction of the original palace that was originally built under the reign of King Charles III, ...

Stew went to the market and bought fixings for salads, some rice and veggies to cook and a dark choc bar for dessert! Kim and stew prepared a great dinner and we were so full we all wanted to take a nap.

Spent afternoon catching u with wifi stuff. Bed early... We all hope tomorrow is a better ...
