    Still Not Normal

    ... environment you quickly find out how useless this type of clothing is. Why do they continually suggest that volunteers bring them? We will never know. At any rate, my friend suggested we put together this "prom" where everyone dressed in their infrequently used business casual. IT WAS A HIT! We reserved a place to have this event and not surprising, we had about 100 volunteers come. Never would I thought that I would have prom again, let alone in the DR.

    ... stayed at this very cute and lovely little boutique hotel, called Coco Boutique - and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone going to the city! There are only 4 rooms, each decorated with a different theme - and the common areas were very chic and comfortable...there is a small bar qhere guests can relax and chat in the evenings, complete with fantastic music.     ... of Boca Chica, 22 KM from the main road.  We were greeted with lots of kids and people and were shown a small hotel run by a guy with a deep Carolina accent - its his son's hotel and he was staying there for a while - as he lives most of the year in Alaska - this is a good place for them to be in the winter.   We ate langostinos for $6 each at a small restaurant next to the hotel and had some Panamanian beer before getting to bed for the ...
