Hotel Ganesh Himal Kathmandu

Has been long journey to get to Kathmandu. After rush packing spree started on 25th Dec 08 early morning (00:10am) from Shanghai to Singapore onboard SQ825. Somehow didnt catch sleep at all, just thinking how the journey was going to fall out. Right after finishing my earlier entry, found out that there is a travel desk right behind me. There were couple of folks arraning their trekking...so i quietly listened in. I went to the travel desk and met him (Mr. Prakash) to go through the details. First thing was about if Around Annapurna Circuit Trek is still open. He mentioned there are still some trekkers up there and it may still be possible, but one cant guarantee the weather. It would be a 18 to 20 day trek depending on how weather...

Was awake at 7:00am after a very peaceful night. Had a very good hot shower and went down to have breakfast..pretty good breakfast. Had spicy egg omellete with milk tea....by the time I finished breakfast, Prakash was already there. I went on to finalize the deal on the trip and made necessary payment. Also, met his colleague Palsang..happens to be relative of the hotel owner...went with Prakash to his office to get the trekking permit and entrace to Annapurna sanctuary clearance...basically ...

Nepal!!! We've been seeing all of Kathmandu's sights. all the massive Buddist Stupas and Hindu Temples as well as Durbar Square This morning we took a flight around The Himalayas and past Mount Everest! So amazing flying at 25000 feet (below Everest's peak) and getting to see the mountains up close was just fantastic! What an amazing end to an amazing month One more day and we fly home.

Well, I am definitely having problems with hotel rooms. When I thought everything was just fine I take a shower and wash my hair. Something really weird happens! My body gets sticky and my hair feels as if it just had varnish or glue poured on it. I can barely get a comb or brush through it. I thought it might be as a result of the overspraying of muskoil I had done in the other hotel room so I didn't overreact.
