We went to St.Gilgen first which is a little town on a lake, it was very small but we walked around anyway. I'm sure the view from there would have been amazing if we could see it a bit better! We didn't stay for long, the snowflakes were more like big lumps of snow and it ...

... learnt to make pizza shapes (snow plow) but it was all in German. Alex loved it but Samantha was a little hesitant. We then ventured over to Alpendorf to ski as there was not enough snow at Werfenweg. We had a couple of small runs and Alex demonstrated that he had little control. We then had a lovely home cooked meal. Today, we went back to Alpendorf to ski again. The others ventured into Salzburg. We organised a lesson for Alex ...

... the next bus arrives. Nevertheless, as things quieted down it was the perfect time and place for us to grab lunch and rest up a bit.

Hallstatt for us too would only be a waypoint on a longer journey halfway across Austria to Vienna that same night. What I will leave you with however is the beauty of the place, or at least what I could catch of it in my photos. Enjoy the virtual vacation and I will see you next in ...
