... very sober amongst the party people we headed back to the bikes, parked safely on a footpath miles ahead of where the silly cars coming had to park. Some coy Basque girls admired my bike and having suitably impressed them with the tale of my journey from Ireland I saddled up and rode off for the next destination... Mundaka, the surf gem of the Spanish north! Having set up camp in the usual way, this time taking exponentially less time than the last, we tried with difficulty ...

Had the chance to sail on Asti V. A very small sailboat that was built in in 1929, it won a couple of olympics and it was owned/used by one of the kings of Spain. It barely fit 4 people comfortably. The trip was about 2 hours from one port to another, luckily I was able to steer the whole way. ...

We got fed up and though we'd find a solution driving up to the dealer and talk to him in ...

There are no spaces on the street, so it's the expensive underground parking lot once more. As we ascend to the street, a gentleman points out that parking above ...

36 hours on a ferry doesn't sound particularly appealing but I have to say that it was actually very good.

The ferry was nicely turned out. There was a fine restaurant on board (where we had a brilliant steak), they served ice cold "wife beater" and the Bay of Biscay was "as a millpond!"

    Couldn't have been better.
