... today or no longer in business. We then proceeded on to the tiny sovereign state of San Marino. The "republic" is only 20 square miles in size. We drove directly to the top of the mountain on which the old city (citta) rests. The Citta has a spectacular view in all directions. Towards the East you can see the Adriatic and 40-50 miles North or South. The old town has three towers of which two are part of a larger fortifications. We checked out tower one in the fort ...
... except to say that we finished the day feeling very relaxed’. We topped off our relaxing day doing something by an evening beach walk. It was lovely to leave the apartment and do something that is at least worth remembering otherwise our day would have been a full day of something that really means ...
... who made no effort to move aside and share the two-way walking path with us. We actually had to step off the path pulling our suitcases and walk around them, although I refused to do this by the third group so I basically barrelled through them and knocked one of the women as I went (she wasn’t old or anything!) Self-focused people like that drive me crazy so I delighted in doing it!
