... of thousands of years old coins. Investment banker is my guess. Iraklion is a dirty busy little port city. But don't let her looks fool you. There's lots to do, see and appreciate. It's been around since the Neolithic age, some 10,000 years. A layer cake of time and surprise. We enjoy a stone-oven baked pizza watching the traffic and people. Motor bikes blur by, seldom a helmet but often a passenger on board. Buses jammed with people. Lives ...

Duty Free had an excellent selection of European wines, at very low prices in €. Low on ...

Obviously we had to go to the "super" one. We found a friend in town we had made on the ship the night before who was also searching for the beach. The three of us found a cab to take us there. It did not disappoint. It was everything you would expect a Greek Island beach to be, plus nudity ...

Weather: glorious. Slip, slop, slap.
6.30am arrived at the Island of Crete where we disembarked at Ag. Nikolaos (means Saint Nicholas) where Olive Oil products are paramount. The Cretan diet is known as one of the healthiest diets in the world (1/3 largest).
We did a tour of the Palace of Knossos where the Monoan Civilization thrived in the Bronze age (roughly 3,000 BC) within the Aegean. The palace was ...
