... the 1860s. It has a few nods to its Welsh past in the form of museums etc but itīs now most famous for its wildlife. It has millions (literally) of Magellanic penguins and lots of sea lions, elephant seals and orcas but the biggest tourism draw of all is the migration of 1000 whales during January and February along the coast. ... Tracie for the level head. But I digress! We escaped, found another beach, didn't drive onto it and....
...watched whale after glorious whale swimming literally 30 metres from the shore. It really was a stunning sight which the pictures do no justice to. Well worth all the effort!

... landed in 1865 – didn’t see Glyn’s name there but plenty of Jones, Thomas and Davies. We then visited a cool Eco centre and enjoyed tea and Bara Brith (Welsh cake) as well as learning about Whales, Dolphins etc. We left Puerto Madryn and drove to Trelew and onto the small Welsh village of Gaiman and as usual a great tourist information and another lovely cabin with terrible mosquitos and a mad puppy to play with. Enjoyed ...
