Last day and Chrissi packs while I run up town to do a few last minute things ...i walk her to the bus to farewell my fello traveller ...she's off to Barcelona ...then Paris ...go girl !! Then... It's just me ...I cruise the streets of Juan Les Pins for one last time before I leave tomorrow ...lunch could be in order ...oh duck breast ...gotta say ...big ducks ...
... with nice sticky stuff! We got our beach bag ready and did the 700m walk to the beach. It was a cracker of a little beach quite busy but we found a nice spot near the back... (We were very pleased we did as later some huge rollers came in a washed people's towel away! Lmao! ) we spent the day in and out of the water which was great fun as the waves were maHuusive and had fun riding them in and watching other people ...
... swim caps... There's no chance of that with the sea 700m away so will not be making the most if the pool at this place... We got set up and decided that we'd get showered and then sort out what we were going to have for dinner, options are pretty slim as its a Sunday and no shops are open, well the €1 shower tokens we bought for hot showers were an absolute con, token in machines and nothing happened for either of us so it was cold showers ...
... Florence in to one day! The uffizzi in itself warrants a whole day to appreciate the immense amount of art work they have on display! In order to avoid queing for hours we had pretty booked time slots for both museums, uffizzi in the morning, academy in the afternoon, so we couldn't really change plans. ... Paul de Vence to get my medieval town fix, then back down to Nice and a bus over to Villefranche to finish my day off on the beach. Hopefully meeting up with my old Irish roommates for some nightlife later on! Nice is actually shockingly cheap public transit-wise. You can get a day pass for buses and trams for 4 euro—and bus trips can be up to 74 minutes each. For such a ritzy town, this is AMAZING! London, take note!
