Still heading for the
garage, as we left the camp we saw a baboon sitting by the road and
also 3 Impala antelopes. We have made it to Mercedes and they have
arranged for a windscreen company to install the windscreen tomorrow.
We left and went to a campsite on the outskirts of town and here they
had some lovely coloured birds.
Back to the garage and
the windscreen has ...
... tattered wings, severed legs and the remains of a well blown grasshopper. The old worn out tires were still holding air but were now coated with spider bits. We are set up at a waterhole chalet in the park. The sheets are crisp and white; the duvet soft and fluffy. We are perfectly situated for viewing animals as they come to drink at the waterhole that is a few paces from our door. The only problem is with all this rain there isn't much need for the wildlife to trek all ...
We landed to Hosea Kutako International Airport of Windhoek at 2:00 pm. We passed through customs for the visa. We took each our suitcases and we met the Nomade Aventure guide to continue my travel.
We learn a missing person who had a problem to flight delay and she met the next morning.
... the bus. We then backtracked to head back towards Okaukuejo, where we are spending the night. First stop was Rietfontein waterhole, where we saw the elephants and lions yesterday. It was just as good today with elephants, one giraffe having a drink, some kudu and hundreds and hundreds of zebras. ... at night. We inquired at our Backpackers Lodge and found no one else bound for the border except for our South Korean friend on the Mokoro trip. She had first contemplated boarding the Victoria Falls-Windhoek bus that passes through Botswana but is not allowed to disembark any passengers. We were not clear if it was even legal to board that bus in Botswana. The modus operandi seemed to be to wait at a particular petrol station where the bus normally stopped ...
