... It was to be only a 20 km ride to Bolzano and back along bike paths. Richard generously gave up his helmet and hat and Sue was at least safe. The bike paths are amazing around that area, the first part to Bolzano was long and straight through apple orc***********gside a river and rail line. This was comforting as if we could not make it home the train was an option. But we didn't know that we actually bypassed Bolzano turned off and went to Kaltern which meant ...

... Daniella) to take our order. We were hot, so we ordered draft beer, "Forst".

Ordering was a little hard because there were no menus in English. Our initial request was a Greek salad of tuna and eggs, because it was easy to translate. This clearly concerned the owner, as she quickly talked us out of that, saying, "This is an Italian kitchen! You can get tuna and eggs at home. " ...

... to visit the Bolzano Museum of Anthropology where he is now housed in state (frozen) and see him for myself.

He lived more than 5,000 years ago, but I was able to look closely at his copper axe (high quality metalworking), his yew bow and his various implements. He had over 50 tattoos, all similar, and ate roast ibex meat less than an hour before he was killed. He ...
