... without the normal care and as we were going along we suddenly realized that the caravan had become detached. Fortunately the breakaway cable had worked. We reversed and reattached her, no harm having been done. We then had to do a 50 mile detour to get to the camp site. We spoke to other camper and caravaners who had had great ...

Ik probeer weer een aantal korte video's te uploaden: de belboei bij Ramsgate, het hijsen van de vlag in Portugal, de vissen in de haven (we drijven echt in een aquarium) en misschien nog een paar andere stukjes.

Moments later, again, we were being escorted to a ticket machine at the next station, being patronisingly read to from the instructions on the ticket machine and told that we were lucky to escape a 95 Euro fine. Oh, happy days.
Fair dodging aside, we love Porto. We spent our few days ambling around the ...
... some more sightseeing and attempted some shopping (everything is pretty pricey here). The locals don´t earn a lot so we wonder how they get on - a lot of basics in the supermarket are about double the price in Oz tho meat, fish & bread are pretty cheap. And having an expresso and pastry is good value - usually around €1.20 for both (AUD$2.00).
Today we ...
... the town erupted into a party! I'd been pretty lucky with this sort of stuff with Spain and Thailand, so I couldn't complain too much - but I'm also sad to miss a party!

... sun and enjoyed a coffee and some Portuguese pastries. Sao Bento station is beautifully decorated with painted tiles depicting scenes from Portuguese history. We took the last ten minutes before our train was due to depart to use one of those photo booths. Jess and I squashed in together to get our picture taken. The train to Guimaraes is modern and quiet and the journey takes an hour and a quarter. I enjoyed looking out the window although the girls would have ...

Kuna buss on kahekordne ja pealt avatud, siis lõpuks olime täiesti läbikülmunud, ent vähemalt nägime ära paljukiidetud ilusad rannad. Suvel tasub sinna kindlasti tagasi minna, pilt on hoopis teine. Nagu mainisin, tegime sildade vaatamiseks eraldi laevatuuri. Porto on ju ka tuntud sildade linnana, omades 7 silda, kui ma õieti mäletan. Nende hulgas on ka Gustav Eiffeli ...
