I write from the shore of the magnificent Lake Bled. I have had such a beautiful day - the picture you can see first off is the view I'm currently seeing, absolutely stunning. My day started off well, being awoken by the kindest, most softly spoken lady I've met in a long time with the words, "Miss Suter, will you be leaving us today or would you like to stay longer?". The highlight for the kids was the dungeon as their imaginations ran wild! After visiting the castle, we meandered ...

So here we are, getting set for our 2014 Balkan Adventure. After 2 days of ferocious packing and cleaning, as we vacate what has been our Reception, Bar and Restaurant for the last six and a half years, we have collapsed in a heap pending some last minute personal packing and 'making ourselves look beautiful' preparations - so much to do, so little time!

    As some ...

... grass and apples along the way however on the way home my horse unexpectedly decided to bend down to grab a fallen apple. Funny thing was, I was holding onto the reins firmly and almost got pulled forward off the horse! Luckily I was riding at the back so no one saw this happen. The final adventure was a drive/walk out to Slap Savica (waterfall). The drive out along a narrow road in the middle of the forest was amazing, as the autumn leaves had carpeted the road and were ...
