I drank steins for the next few hours like it was nobody's business, like they were going out of fashion, like they were the last steins on earth. They clearly weren't any of these, because they kept coming - brilliant! The atmosphere was amazing! ... a single trip. Kim quizzed me with the questions that she thought we would be asked when we got back, so that I could prepare some coherent answers, then I did the same for her. We ordered food and when it came, the portions were huge. Kim had ordered Weiner schnitzel, whilst I ordered roast suckling pig, with potato dumplings, cabbage salad and a beer sauce. Both were delicious, it was a nice way to round off our culinary travels.

... English and offered English menus. Not as many selections as the German menu, but all the items were traditional Bavarian dishes. And of course all sorts of Paulaner Beer. I started with a unfiltered Keller lager that was surprisingly good. My second beer was a hefeweissen and it got high marks. Kathy had her first Pils on this trip, and although it wasn’t brewed at Paulaner it was pretty good

Dinner was wonderful, Kathy ordered a schnitzel (unbreaded) ...
