... 5 piece okapella group which were quite funny. Wednesday 15th - Shawn racked up a nice hangover to go with the nice bill we had at Arts & Boards the night before so we were slightly sluggish to get going to see the Eisbach standing wave this morning. ... was no exhibition hall where "stuff" was sold. Nope this was strictly a beer, food and ride event (oh and a handful of cheezy souvenir booths).

As we walked, we passed one ridiculously over the top decorated beer hall after another. Some of the beer halls had moving signs and beer insignias, but perhaps my favorite was Ochsenbraterei beer house with an enormous rotating spit over the entry. Only at Octoberfest.

... but thankfully the rain stopped when we met Clarissa and she showed us the main tourist areas downtown. We had fun chatting with Clarissa and eating traditional Bavarian food for dinner. We were all very appreciative of the suggestions Clarissa made for us for our next day in Munich and she even printed out maps and information for us. It was really great to meet her and to have her help.

... and although it did not look appetizing, it was very good! Afterwards we rode the metro and met up with some locals and went to a student festival! Live bands (ska, rock, pop), food and beer! It was a very cool atmosphere and they had this dark beer that tasted like liquid candy. Dangerous if you don't know your limit haha. I'll have to find out the name of that beer.
