Final day at Talmont, travel to Saumur

A travel blog entry by marshallrj on Aug 15, 2015

Final day at the camp site today and I must say, it's been brilliant here, we have a final breakfast and clear up the hut for 10am, the car is well packed and we have the bikes all racked up again on the back of the car. The Mitton's drive on once packed up and we Marshall's go for for a swim and use the slides for a while,we then relax a bit by the pool until 12 and head off by car after that. It's not too far a drive ...

... to follow as well. After lunch the Mitton head back and U.S. Marshall's go for a wander into the old part of the town, we don't buy anything, but just have a look about. Back to camp, for final night of tennis, dinner at the main house, clearing up all that we have left, then to bed slightly earlier than normal as wended to get packed up ...

We spend nearly an hour looking for crabs and catch a few of them, one ins me drawing blood, good job their are no crocs are saltines in France, the people that are bent double wading in the river are looking for razorclams, whateople seem to do is put some food or something in the river bottom over their blowhole, then they pop up for a breath and then you grab ...

A travel blog entry by marshallrj on Aug 12, 2015

... ponds but no sign of it particularly. All initial takes mean hour and fifteen mins to cover the 25km, but for the family. I hope I can persuade to come and do it's. It's a very pretty ride, but miss out on the Talmont part as we not use the board walk. Back to camp, I look for the family at the pool but can't see them, despite being rather sweaty, still jump in for a few lengths. A fabulous morning. The family have been in the pool ...

Canoe and Tennis, and shooting stars.....

A travel blog entry by marshallrj on Aug 11, 2015

Not an early start today, we were all really tired last night and so we don't hear a mouse until 9am, but then seeing as we can only have one device on the web at any one time, it's a rush to get on line, Ollie does though normally win that battle. After breakfast, the children go to the pool for a bit and we book up a session on the canoe's at Talmont St-Hilare, it's an interesting place as we go ...
