Day 9: Day in Rome!! Started out with a tour of Vatican City. Fun fact: highest crime rate in the world :/ it was stinking hot and there was **** loads of people squished into small spaces that aren't air conditioned (there was also no cleavage, shoulders or legs allowed to be shown- worst). However it was absolutely beautiful. We started in the galleries and then ended at the chapel. It was all so spectacular ...

I headed to Firenze via the fast train which are very nice (free wifi!). I arrived and basically had a meltdown caused by me stressing out about my permesso. So the first day was a bit of a write off. The next morning I arranged to meet the mum of the family my cousin au paired for last year. The family were happy for me to 'use' their address in Firenze for my permesso, which was a huge relief, as I had come to the conclusion that I would just have to stay in Italy ...
