In the hope of getting out of the bad weather of Les Deux Alpes, we headed for our next stop near Lac De Paladru, unfortunately we didn't, if anything the weather was worse with almost constant rain for the 2days we stayed, we were still recovering from our bugs so we again spent most of our time in the van..

We took a couple of walks out in between the showers so again not much to report here....

... 8230;how to sum up Madeleine. It was a cow…and my bike is a *****. :-)

I had roughly 22km of fairly flat road to get to the base of Col de la Madeleine through some nice French Alps countryside. Once there I took a short pause to get a banana and power gel into me and some water then began the ascent. It was only 5km to Pussy, an interesting name for a small village on the way up.
