We spent the morning cleaning inside Dream Catcher, Les emptied the back and cleaned in there after a tomato storage explosion! Once everything was clean again we updated the blog using the free wifi, and settle our bill, Camping Athens is a good campsite it's kept very clean and in a great location for getting into the city, but it is the mist expensive that we have stayed at. ... the ruins and even added some of their own buildings. The later Christian invasion resulted in many buildings being damaged and looted. This is story we hear repeated over and over again.
The ruins are spectacular, as the photos show.
The first ruin is the Pyytaneion, featuring the Altar of Hestia. Is this where they worshiped lingerie?
This was also the sight of a sacrifice on the first day of the games.

... return to the dinghy.... And we quickly made our exit. Once back on the boat, Ty wanted to go shore, and skip some rocks he gathered in the cave. We dropped him off at the beach, and returned to Milena. Ty was on his own private beach skipping rocks, then climbed the hugs rock, and flattened himself on the top. ... which came to the table, covered with a big pot . Marina was now topside, and the cover was lifted housing a beautiful vanilla cake, topped with candles. It was Jacques' birthday (yesterday). We all sang happy birthday and cheered him on to yet another wonderful year. Star watching tonight was great.... The water was flat, and no lights. The kids and I.
