After visiting many of our favourite places, and going back to Levkas for someone to view Kerenne we have arrived in Kastos. With a Force 5 blowing from the west there is some doubt about whether the anchor is holding but after taking it in a little all seems OK, fingers crossed.

We spent the morning cleaning inside Dream Catcher, Les emptied the back and cleaned in there after a tomato storage explosion! The nest photo is the the Nymphaion, built by Herodes Atticus in the second century AD. Originally the place where nymphs of water springs were worshiped, was a major supplier of water.
We then move into the Stadium, first built in the seventh century BC.The level running track is 200 metres long, still the basis for today's running events. It was relocated to this site around 470 BC.

... been here a couple of times during our time in the Ionian Sea, but never been into the actual Harbour, which is very pretty and usually full. Once again we arrived and yep..it was full again. so no way could we go here. Oh well, another time.......maybe.

So, instead we decided to make our way to a favourite bay of ours, Spartachori on Meganisi island. We love it here, good food, lovely clear waters and usually other friends are around here too.
