This whole entry is dedicated to the 13 hour train ride I had to take from Barcelona to Milan. It departed Barcelona at 8 am. The first leg traveled from Barcelona to Montpellier, all along the coast of northern Spain and Southern France. As we curved around the fingers of the French riviera, my jaw was dropped in awe. Little houses perched on the side of the cliffs over looked the water. At one point our train stopped in a small town near the border of ...

Milan, Lombardy, Italy frdrick... from the point there though which was cool.
Ferry back from Belaggio to Como was a lot quicker (and more expensive) and had some great views of the various places around the lake.
Back in Milan that night discovered the happy hour buffets that I'd read about - 6 Euro for a drink and all you can eat.
Buffet is nothing special, but ...
... a cool little wine bar/tobacco shop/lottery agent to have an aperitif and got to hear the waitress singing along to the radio in broken English with lots of made up words.
Had an AMAZING seafood paella at Osteria del Lazzaretto as well as the biggest piece of bruschetta I've had in my life! They also had half a litre of house wine for 4 Euro! Score!
... out with anyone but the family. Luisa said she needed to know for sure when I was going home so they could find someone else, so that night I called the airline and set my flight for November 24th, so I could be home for Thanksgiving. We played Uno that night, and I won and Francesco screamed at me so loudly his pacifier dropped out of his mouth and I saw his tonsils. And she wonders why I sometimes distance myself from them? I ...
Bergamo, Lombardy, Italy alliemarieSunday 10th May. We were on the road by 7am and drove the hour down to Monza only to meet the traffic jam just on entering Monza. Yep everyone was going to the superbike races. We inched forward slowly as thousands of bikes weaved past us cars and evidently were there way before we got in. Around 9.30am we were in and had paid our 95 eoros each for the day. The noise of the bikes practising was ...
Monza, Lombardy, Italy kasnsqueak... it was quiet. We could get past everything. We went through tunnels under bridges with cascading water from the ice melts and there were corners lovely lovely corners. This is what we were here for, this is what we wanted, this couldn't get any better! Then disaster, we aimed for Monza but hit tail backs on the motorway from an accident, we decided to get off and head to Milan. What a **** decission that was ...
Monza, Lombardy, Italy suzukistoreyAfter Istanbul and Rome... even Venice looked dull .. so what do you say about Milan!
Though we did go to see the famous Leonardo Da Vince's Last Supper. For the nerds likes me, let me tell you that the painting is not on a canvas but on the wall of the church (don't remember the name of the church) ... the experience was Wow... it almost felt that you were having dinner with Jesus and his group .. its costs about 25Euro per person ...
... So, keep that in prayer. If it is to happen, it will, right? But how great is that? I walk into a shoot like that completely unsuspecting, and it may turn out even better. But even if they do not take the photographs for the campaign, I still made money from it. So I win either way. Now it is just a matter of if I win more! lol Anyhow, just thought I would share that about my third job in Milan. And after this shoot, I did not drink. I learned my lesson. lol
