After the three of us had a little nap on the sofa in the pretend lobby we pulled ourselves together and decided to make the most of being in the city. Even though we had only been in Sao Paulo for about 5 hours it felt like a life time. Our bus trip and metro journey felt like years ago, rather than that same morning. We stayed right in the center at the São Paulo YHI Hostel, which is near the Praça de Republica. When we arrived we took two metros in rush hour ...

When we couldn’t find the bus stop at the Hyatt Hotel we asked the staff there who said that the bus didn’t come here but we had to go along the road and flag it down as it came past. After waiting for about 20 minutes with no sign of the bus, we started asking taxi drivers who gave us different versions ...
