We planned dinner at the apartment because the weather was supposed to be lousy. It actually turned out fine, and we had a nice dinner on our balcony. Faye and Steve headed over to the Grand Place for waffles while I stayed back with John and stayed on conference calls until about 1:00 am.

Overall, a quiet sort of day.

... the light displays, confetti, smoke, bubbles, and fireworks are constant.. There is water with fountains everywhere. So many amazing friendly people. We met a few NZers, and even a few from Howick!! Even a guy from Bucklands beach called Cameron too haha. We headed back from main stage to shuttle at about 11.30 to see how long it takes to get there. We arrived home around 2am as it's an hour drive there and back from hotel... Ahh sleep time ready for another ...

We finished the tour in the Grand Platz, what a wonderful square completely surrounded by ornate building with lots of gold leaf. ... recall seeing a single ray of sun the entire time and the only green that I remember was the park behind the-once-grand-but-since-torn-down Palace Hotel. This morning the sun is shining, the trees are green and spring flowers, mostly tulips, are in bloom everywhere.
