... town to complete some more provisioning.
This being the final leg of this sailing season we need to ensure we have enough to see us through as there are not going to be many more provisioning opportunities in the next (less than) two weeks.
There's not that many opportunities down the east coast to either anchor or go into marina's – there's going to be a couple of long passages – i.e. much more than 5 miles, coming up.

... some (comparatively expensive) provisioning and then just chilled on board and watched (and felt) the day trippers return.

          Sunday 23 August
Went ashore and completed abit more provisioning. The fishmongers was open and had some wonderful seafood. What was great is they had scallops, which I love and haven't had for a while. This is making what to eat this evening a very difficult choice – T-bone, scallops,

... a great sail in to
our destination. I know I say this a lot about the coastlines we pass but the Sardinian coast is something special even from a distance from shore.
We got to the Bonifacio Straights where we had the mountains of Sardinia on the
starboard side and the mountains of Corisca on the port side of us.
The anchorage we chose to stay in only had two other yachts, so quite peaceful ...

... moving faster than the others but all looking out for each other. Rosanne and Silvana both have their hands on their hips and are plodding along in front of us ...gone are the beach babes with laughter and giggles instead they are part of a mountain goat group plodding along pausing to drink to keep hydrated.... they are not smiling! Haha I don't help the situation by shooting photos; they are constantly telling me ...

... was on for me to have the first ski!!
Glen drove the boat, Kevin observer and I tried a deep water start, three attempts and no go!!!
the rid attempt I felt the "Hammies"...oh dear, not as young as I use to be. So I got out of the water and let Barry and Maurie have a go (they both experienced water skiers 15 and 30 yrs ago)
Well the same thing happened, Barry had several attempts and not go, put two skis on, still didn't get ...
