The city centre was stunning. We had what was claimed to be 'the worlds best ice-cream' and it didn't disappoint. Kids voted it the best they'd ever had. Back on the coach to Siena. This was another beautiful town where we had a guided walking tour (so tourist) ...

As this type of village ages the new levels are built on top of the old so you can see the new structures, which may be a mere 600 years old, and still see the old ones that are on the lower levels.
