Last night attempted our first dining experience and managed to order the food and wine we actually wanted! Chose the right time to be out and about as rain started just after our return to the apartment. Elspeth (Manager of the apartments) drove Ron to arrange a hire car for a week as from Thurs. so we should get to see some very interesting countryside. Zell is set in the Mosel Valley so when we caught a bus to a large shopping ...

Fingers crossed for better weather ☀ ...

The rain eased slightly as we payed the bill for the campsite (32euros for 2 nights) and cycled to Trier Hauptbahnhof. There we caught a regional train (which takes bikes) to Koblenz. This ...

... Breakfast was again hot rolls, ham, cheese, jam with strong tea today. After breakfast Syd checked the pannier adjustments and clips with the loaded panniers and managed to fix his bike computer (reseating battery and adjusting the sensor to be much closer to the transmitter. We then had several cups of coffee over a few hours basking in the sunshine (we call it readjusting our internal clocks). Eventually we decide to have a bike ride in ...
