... like a ski lift) up the hill to the Germania monument, built in 1871 for the reunification of Germany then walked the 5kms down the hill. Had a drink, then went shopping & back to the boat for lunch.

The next part of he Rhine is known for its castles, they were amazing, the cloud then started to move in so went inside for coffee & cake, like we needed more food.

Got a haircut, really impressed & only €18.

... We had a cup of tea and breakfast, dressed for wet conditions and started packing the internal of the tent. Syd moved the bikes to a nearby camper's shelter and loaded the bikes with the panniers and the 'bedroom' roll-bag. We then quickly took down the tent and filled the 'house' roll-bag. ... Breakfast was again hot rolls, ham, cheese, jam with strong tea today. After breakfast Syd checked the pannier adjustments and clips with the loaded panniers and managed to fix his bike computer (reseating battery and adjusting the sensor to be much closer to the transmitter.
