      ... but the practice did not change for many years.. On the outside, the building is rather unimpressive and in a narrow alley. We were assured that getting lost in Venice is an expectation.       ... going to drag our bags down the stairs. He picks up the other 2 suitcases and then lifts the rope enough that the 3 suitcases are off the ground. We are talking about 200 pounds. We are amazed at his strength. We walk down the stairs for the last time and walk up to the road. Fabio is waiting for us. The porter loads our bags and w@e are off to the train station in Naples.
