    ... note at the point closest our hotel, about 100 metres away if that, the ferry stops every 12 minutes. The frequency seems to lessen in the outer areas. So we get on one to travel as far as it goes. Although often crowded it's a good way to sight see. By the time we arrived at Lido station we had the best places on the ferry and looking forward to its continuation.     ... you have more room than in a plane and if you travel as a couple you can book seats facing each other with a table in between. And you have the benefit of having your luggage as soon as you get off. I am a fan. Oh and did I mention that it travels at 220km/h. Not bad, not the fastest in the world but not bad.     Today we had an early morning, heading to Venice, Italy. Venice is beautiful, but kinda smells a little funky. The water in the canals of Venice, rise 20mL every year. This is mildly problematic, because it is literally a sinking city. And when the tide is high in certain seasons, the water is apparently up to a meter high in the city, flooding areas of Venice.

    I think my favourite part of Italy is gelato. Today I had it three times. Sooooo good.
