... the Bishop’s Palace has been converted into the Musee des Beaux Arts, a very nice Art Gallery in rooms which still had some of the original furnishings. I am not sure if the pictures were from the Bishop’s private collection though. There seemed to be far more than usual depictions of naked female torsos and naked boys and girls, all in typical suggestive poses. Well, perhaps they were the Bishop’s ...

After a 6am start to go to Golf, then a swim, lunch then on the bikes to Biarritz via the cycle lanes. Being August and Holidays the roads were crazy, it so brilliant to be on the path. We stopped here and there to take in the views etc. The beaches were packed. Cycling was quicker than by car but one had to keep your wits about you ...

"....look at this... look what I found... o this is so ...

A few good beginner waves for me. An awesome way to wrap up Biarritz. The great weather continued as we headed to Anglet just north. A little more laid back than Biarrtiz, but plenty of money here - the houses on the golf courses are incredible. Another few nights in a motor home car park for next to nothing, ...

... gothic style (although no church compares now after the sagrada familia in Barcelona) As the weather at this stage was not beach material, we decided to increase our sea creature knowledge and spend some time at the San Sebastian Aquarium (not before we got a tasty sandwich from our fav bakery of course). The aquarium was great and we all had fun looking at all the amazing sea animals (ash and tobi probably a bit more than Ange and I!) After the aquarium the ...
