... drizzly patches. The towns we passed by were gorgeous! We stopped for a quick bike ride in Mantoche (renowned for its bees apparently) then on via two locks to our first port for the night, Pontailler-sur-Saône. A quick spot of fishing as Simon roasts some fresh chestnuts which literally cover the ground here (watch your head!). Alfie says he loves the house boat more than our car and better than a van! We agree :-) We have definitely found our sea legs to go with the Captains ...

... at Chalezeule which is at the eastern end of the line with the station at the Carrefour supermarket. It is Metro like in that it obviously makes travel in the immediate area very easy and as we bought a day ticket €4.20 we made use of it by taking the line to the opposite end, Hauts Du Chazal for an overview of the area (pleasant, clean, affluent in the main) One question came to mind when the many large blocks of ...

We woke up nice and early , had showers and left the house. we went to Besancon. When we arrived we saw that there were all kind of stores in old buildings. We first went to a shoe store and there were beautiful, amazing and stunning shoes. I tried one of them on it was stunning then I asked my dad and mum if I could have that shoes. They said yes and my mum got the same shoes but in a different colour. I got a black one ...
