... was out and we got a glimpse of what Como must really be like in the summer. It was marvelous and the town Duomo in the centre was a sight to see. We wandered around the streets taking in all we missed over the last two days and sat outside a café eating Croissants and drinking orange juice people watching. ... festivals, with the 3 day Autumn Festival starting on the day we arrived. We went into the city centre for dinner on Saturday and the place was heaving with bands playing, people eating out everywhere, pop up bars and restaurants all through the main plaza's etc. The boys loved it, but not as much as the girls who had another late night out ending up in a dodgy nite club called Choco-Late. A very clever name that one.

Today we had the usual, fun Italian-style breakfast ( dessert first) that included all kinds of breads, rolls , cakes and fruits. They also put out out cheeses, cold meats and tomatoes. After breakfast we drove to Locarno, Switzerland. This was one more very scenic ride up more narrow mountain roads before driving along Lake Maggiore. The botanicals here are lush and varied.
