We had decided to take the Ferry up to another village on the lakeside, but actually arrived at the Quay in time for an earlier ferry. So we ended up catching the 9:10 ferry to Urio. As we climbed on board, the rain started, and as we cast off, that rain changed to horizontal, so we abandoned to top deck to go downstairs.
Luckily when we reached Urio the rain let up for a while. The only cafe near the dockside turned out to be a restaurant, despite having "cafe" written ...

We reached Como at about 5pm, and checked into our hotel. That left us time to walk down to the quay, have a drink at a cafe popular with the local sparrows, and wend our way to a delightful restaurant round the corner from the hotel. We then went down to Lenno - wished we had little Lenny in Lenno but we did see our first Italian Lenny today – much older than Luke & Oli’s Lenny. ... we are getting on our new Panasonic Lumix is System Error (Zoom) and the zoom seems stuck – so Harves, Terry or any other brainy practical people let us know what to do. We will try reading the instructions when we can access internet. On to St Fideles Chapel which was also nice. We then looked at the various pretty piazzas and shops which were open.
