After all, mainly flat stages, today I approached the Black forest hills.
Starting in Soellingen, it went up immediately, from 100 metres up to 600 close to Ehningen.
From there it went down again through the beautiful Naturpark Schoenbuch.
Nevertheless, despite the climbing activities, the stage today was the longest so far, 106 km.

The sign on platform 11 showed Karlsruhe and 2 guards told us it would stop there, so we boarded. Then an announcement in English and it didn't mention a stop at K from platform 11. So we hightailed it to platform 10.
The change of trains at Karlsruhe for Heidelberg was easy - next platform. I'd intended putting our bags in a locker at Heidelberg ...

From there we spent some time visiting a number of War Cemeteries, placing poppies on various relatives / relatives of friends....so many made such a sacrifice. I must confess I didn't realise that there were so many cemeteries, or for that matter that so many died...horrific.

We drove to our next stop to see the world's biggest cuckoo clocks (yes those things again) but we couldn't find them and eventually ended up driving passing them by accident.
