... spectacular though I couldn't do much looking even though my speed never got above 25mph. Thankfully there were virtually no other vehicles on this road but even so it took 5 hours to get to my new destination.

The final thing I have been proud of is my increasing confidence in identifying a camp site from the directory and turning up without booking. I have had absolutely no problems until this day and so at the end of a long and really tiring drive ...

We arrived this afternoon after driving via Toulouse. The drive up the mountains takes two hours and is a combination of winding roads and tunnels a few times all you could see was a mountain 100 metres ahead and no obvious road until you go around a bend. Its one of the prettiest towns I've ever seen. Snow all gone but now gearing up for summer hikers. Wine 2 euro a bottle, beer 2.50 a pint.I had a few electrical problems but after an hour with ...

... go to Spain in the warm, another go to Switzerland skiing, and another back to Ireland. There is such a variety of people here. Caroline and I gave an "apero" party for about 12 people. There was Jacques from Holland, Beatrice from Holland, Viv and Philip from England, George & Willeen from Ireland, Jen from Les Cabannes but originally from England, Martine & Mark, Shelley & Chris. We got up early today, and did a one and a half hour walk ...

Things are never dull for long here. There are always new people arriving, either owners of the other apartments or others arriving in the neighbourhood. An eclectic mix of English, Irish, Dutch with a smattering of French... oh and the builders are Spanish!!

I had a lovely Easter Sunday lunch at Cathy and Tony's who have an old mill house on the banks of the river. We were 8 for drinks and 6 for lunch. Rae has arrived. She is the friend who introduced ...
