Two hours in Andorra and sore feet

... shouting and whistle blowing from the angry pistol carrying policeman. He asked me if I had any cigarettes or spirits on board and had a look in the toilet. I said no and he let me go on which was lucky as I had a kilo of cocaine in the wardrobe and 3 Libyan refugees hiding under the sofas. So sadly although Andorra has been ticked off the list, I can only say I saw traffic and more traffic and for some reason, endless tyre fitting bays. If I go back again, it ...

Day nine

This will be a fairly short entry since Peter and I cycled by ourselves today. Barry had proposed an alternate rout which was taken by Werner, Barry, Steve, Gilles, Don, Sue, Peter and I. Not sure where mark went although Peter and I did see him later. Tom, Linda, Dave, Michael, Wayne, Lori and Mesfin did the nominal. At any rate, after a nice breakfast we set off upstream for a change, on the way to the base of the climb to the Col de Latrape - or at least I did; a host of others apparently chose to bypass some of today's climbs. Who knows - maybe ...

DAY 8/June 21: Les, Spain to Oust

... it up a bit and they did. The usual early starters started early. Gilles needed a hand getting his rear wheel back on (the chain was twisted) after fixing a flat, and Dave, Linda and I pushed off last shortly after 9:30am. It was going to be another hot day.

It was a fast downhill run to St-Beat where we started the first climb of the day to Col de Mente. A long-ish climb with moderate grades had me sweating but I didn't mind one ...
