... seafront. Consolation came in the form of chocolate de la taza (hot choccy) in a little cafe with a detailed analysis of the foreboding cold weather to come in Spanish from the owner....no halidos today then Thank you! The Tramontana is white with snow and the wind is chilly and sea swelly. It's February and its a git! If I'd have been wiser I might have headed to a city for this inclement month and enjoyed the island in its full spring glory....but ...

... a couple of hours wandering the streets. it is a very beautiful and clean city with lovely narrow lanes and nice shops. On our way back to the shuttle we stopped at a street side restaurant and enjoyed A glass of sangria while checking the wifi. The shops here suggest a well to do clientele and that is supported by the number and quality of the pleasure craft in the Marina. The Cathedral looked a magnificent site but unfortunately we did not have time to visit. ...

... along the way as there was no space to park. Still, the views at the end were amazing and we stopped for a quick bite before heading back west to Sa Colabra. Again, the drive through the mountains to the coast is very windy and the views are spectacular - a thrilling experience (especially as a passenger...). At the bottom of Sa Colabra, the main beach is a short walk away to ...
