Luckily the Greeks of Koroni were taking their afternoon sleep as we drove into the narrow-streeted village. We managed a quayside parking place without hitting our side mirrors or knocking over their parked scooters. The bougainvillea cascaded down the hillside, oleanders, the size of which we have never seen, flushed the town in a hue of pink and the restaurant waiters were in full voice! The bakery owner shared her homemade almond cookies and Ramo promised to return in ...

... at the cozy indoor dining area that after refurbishing it looks great, or at the shaded poolside terrace. I have to admit that both are amazing spots and repeaters like ourselves definitely appreciate the ground floor’s interior upgrading too. The hotel has the whole package and looks super now. The bright lounge area with floor-to-ceiling windows is another cozy spot. Here guests can enjoy a drink from the bar, watch TV or use any of the ...

Our week here was just stifling. Fortunately the house was great, it had lots of games and dvd’s which was so good because between the hours of 12 and 4 we did feel imprisoned inside.

I was determined to swim in some water to cool down and I wanted to go see the picture from the pamphlet. Apparently this beach is rated by the New York Times as one of the world's 10 best beaches. Again educational facts taken straight from the tourist information. The beach was almost circular with pure sandy beaches and the warmest water I have been in. In front of us was a huge rock face and to the left was a ...
